Datasets FAQ
Below are answers to common questions about dataset access and usage.
Where are the datasets hosted?
Most of the datasets are hosted by external repositories, while some are only available here.
Are the datasets free to use?
Yes, all datasets provided here are available for academic use, subject to their respective licenses and assuming proper credit is given via citation(s).
Can I modify the datasets?
Once downloaded, yes, please feel free to transform the datasets as needed for your own projects. Even if modified, the original dataset should still be cited, however.
How accurate is the collected data?
While every effort was made to include only data from reliable sources, as with any research endeavor, there is always the possibility of errors and/or missing data. Locally stored datasets (i.e., those not in a repository) are likely in-progress datasets and are therefore subject to change without notice. Exercise scholarly judgment when using these, and always be sure to download the most recent copy of any files.
What should I do if I find an error?
If you note any inaccuracies in the datasets, or if you have other concerns about any of the datasets, please feel free to contact me.
